Sticking & Desticking Line

This system prepares lumber packages for kiln drying or fire-retardant treatment using a fully automated stick placing and removal process. Designed to handle long or short lumber, it increases productivity while reducing manual labor.

System operation

The process begins with the arrival of a lumber package on a supply conveyor. A depiling system with vacuum heads (MANYX) inserts sticks between each lumber layer. This is essential for drying green wood or performing pressure treatments.

Once the treatment is complete, the package is fed in reverse mode onto the line. The sticks are automatically removed, sorted, and directed to recovery bins for reuse in a future cycle. The system runs continuously and automatically ejects full packages once detected.

Options for marking and tracking allow for clear identification and traceability of treated lumber.

Automatic precise stick alignment and spacing using the MANYX vacuum head and the GANTRYX system in combination with stick feeding chain deck.
Automatic regeneration of new stick layers using recovered sticks.
Reserve bin management for quick stick reuse.
Bundle sequencing on both infeed and outfeed.
Optional printing wheel for applying fire rating code or treatment identification.
Capacity for bundles up to 16 ft, or simultaneous handling of two 8-ft bundles for greater throughput.
