DOUCET RELEASES A NEW GENERATION OF FAST
ROBOTIC OPERATOR FOR CLAMP CARRIERS

Daveluyville, June 27, 2007 – The management of Doucet Machineries is happy to announce that it has developed the ROBOTIC OPERATOR - model RT100. Fifty percent faster than its predecessors, the RT100 marks the advent of a new generation of Clamp Carrier Automation Systems.

The new ROBOTIC OPERATOR features a 10 HP hydraulic power unit, boosting the roving speed of its carriage to 160 feet per minute and the capacity of its tightening pistol to 500 rpm. The RT100 is the fastest robotic operator on the market, capable of tightening and loosening 6 clamps along an 8 foot raceway and rotating to the next section in just 34 seconds. Smoother carriage acceleration / deceleration as well a clamp section indexing are achieved through the use of a proportional flow control valve. Its homing accuracy has been vastly improved through an interactive rack and pinion side shift arrangement.

The RT100 has been redesigned from the ground up. It includes a long list of advanced design features such as: laser cut components, welded mortise and tenon assembly, truss style design for improved load bearing capacity, and an integrated clamp rest and robot pedestal.   All the wear surfaces on the RT100 have been upgraded to include either tempered steel features or bearings.   Its tightening pistol is connected to a compliant rubber mount on floating axis that extends butterfly nut life cycle.   You may choose between a user friendly operator console with pictograms on the basic model or, an optional interactive panel view with production reporting.   Finally, its p.l.c. comes complete with an Ethernet card for remote diagnostic via the Internet.   All those features add up to a simplified field Installation, flawless task execution and the utmost dependability.
